Sam Worthington Is Tipped As Next James Bond

Sam Worthington is the actor most likely to step into James Bond's shoes when Daniel Craig hangs up his Walther Ppk, according to Britain's leading bookmaker.

Craig is currently shooting scenes for his third outing as the suave superspy in Skyfall, which is due for release in 2014, and shows no signs of retiring from the role.

But when he eventually moves on from the 007 franchise, Avatar actor Worthington - who was born in Britain but grew up in Australia - is hot favourite to take over the coveted part, followed by English actor Tom Hardy and Shame star Michael Fassbender.

A spokesman for bookmaker William Hill, which drew up the odds, says, "Sam apparently auditioned for Casino Royale and has proven his action hero mettle in Avatar and Clash/Wrath of the Titans. The only downside is that he is not English."

Now I'm a little confused. The last we heard Sam "wouldn't want the part.." yet it seems to be in the news again..

Neither was Sean Connery and he was one of the best Bonds.

This is funny that it's in the news again considering he has said he isn't interested in the part but people do change their minds, rather him than Daniel Craig. I'll be interested to see if he does take it but wont he be too busy with Avatar 2 and 3.

Isn't that something? You'd think at least the people who are doing the writing and making a point of such things would know wtf they are talking about! (I thought he was Scottish, but also admit that I checked his IMDb to make sure..which is what I would think anyone who was talking about such things would do..:cheeky:)
Love Sean Connery. When he was Sam's age, I thought he was incredibly handsome. If you've never seen it, watch him in "Marnie" when you get a chance and there's no way you won't see what I mean.

Yeah  I would have to agree. People have been known to change their minds here and there... I guess we'll have to see what goes down. Sam in that role may be quite an interesting experience..both for him and us.

I am thinking this is a rumor. Although, it could help get him back in favor with critics/fans - and get people in seats to his movies.

Will watch him whatever he does, of course.
